WBO Participates in the U.S.–Caribbean Business Conference as a Member of the District Export Council

The World BASC Organization (WBO) was invited to participate in the U.S. Caribbean Business Conference 2025, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Commerce aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between the United States and Caribbean nations. 

The conference took place on May 13 and 14 in Miami, Florida, and brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, including officials from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Caribbean government authorities, multilateral agencies, chambers of commerce, and leading companies from the region. The main focus of the event was to highlight the region’s opportunities and challenges while promoting economic and commercial cooperation in key sectors such as logistics, infrastructure, energy, and digital trade.

As part of its ongoing cooperation efforts and in its capacity as a member of the District Export Council (DEC), a U.S. Department of Commerce initiative, WBO supported and sponsored this important conference.  

BASC’s participation, representing the business community of the region, helped strengthen ties with key leaders from both the public and private sectors, reinforcing its role as a strategic partner in advancing a more secure and efficient regional trade environment, and consolidating its position as a bridge for collaboration between the private sector, governments, and international organizations.
